It seems only right that I make my return to blogging with one of the biggest film franchises. The first in this trilogy was the highest grossing film in 1972, and for a while was the top grossing film ever made. I'm talking, of course, about The Godfather . Ubiquitous to film culture, and being so highly regarded, I knew this would be an interesting adventure. The film begins with the wedding of the daughter of an aging mob boss. A drug lord soon comes to ask the protection of the family, of which Don Corleone wants no part. After attempts on Don Corleone's life, the five crime families of the city break out into a war. He loses a son, and sends the other into hiding. In an attempt to end the feud, Don Corleone accepts the drugs' move into the city. His second son, Michael, returns to the city, and takes his father's place as the Don of the family, which sets more events in place. What Kind Of Dinosaur Did They Cook Up In That Lab?: Jurassic World

After watching the previous trilogy of Jurassic Park movies, this choice was obvious. Jurassic World , while brand-spankin'-new, was sure to just to be another portion to the Jurassic (Park/World/whatever) franchise. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So as I alluded to, this is VERY heavily reliant on following the legacy of the original trilogy from the 1990's. The film begins with focusing on a family. The two sons are taken to an airport, board a plane, and are sent to visit their aunt. Their aunt happens to also be a high ranking employee at Jurassic World. Jurassic World, set on the same island as the original Park, is a slightly declining park. While beautiful, and obviously surpassing the original dream, park visitation numbers are declining. This is the catalyst for the decisions that lead to the rest of the movie. It's Not an Easy Thing to Meet Your Maker: Blade Runner

Before we begin, I feel as if I need to say that my impressions and writings regarding this next movie were written before Blade Runner 2049 was announced. All notes and references should be read with this in consideration. It was not published due to an error on my part, and a lack of being on here to double check what got published. But never fear, dear reader! I'll be attempting to make up for some of our lost time in the coming weeks, so let's get to it! Blade Runner is a film that seems as though everyone knows about our of it, but no one discusses the film itself (not until the sequel was announced, at least). Plenty of films make reference to the film, using the same buildings, similar themes, and philosophical quandaries (looking at you, Matrix trilogy).
